My first goal is to develop my self awareness skills. This affects the majority of my thoughts, feelings and actions. The times when I am careless to realize my actions are usually the times I regret the most.
There are multiple instances where I have regretted my actions because I was being complacent with my self awareness. One of these instances is when I am ignoring my annoyance with stupid things in my life. I let my annoyance grow to the point that I am just looking to argue with the people around me. If I was more self aware, this issue would have never happened and I could "nip it in the bud".
Another advantage of self awareness is the independence that comes automatically with its practice. To actively identify one's own needs, feelings, thoughts, strengths, and weaknesses would provide me with MUCH more accountability for myself and the tools I need to survive independent of other people.
To teach myself self awareness, I will, through consistency, make a habit of constantly questioning all of my own thoughts, feelings, actions, weaknesses and strengths. In this way, I can more effectively alter myself to be the person I'm dreaming to be.
